AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 11.60.095 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE,
1976, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "DOWNTOWN PARKING ZONE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 11.60.095 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,entitled
"Downtown Parking Zone" be and is hereby further amended by amending the introductory
paragraph in subsection B 1 thereof to read as follows:
"On any of the following streets for a period of longer than two (2) hours unless
otherwise prohibited in section 11.60.050 of this chapter, in the thirty(30)minute
parking spaces provided for in subsection B2 of this section or in the fifteen (15)
minute parking spaces provided for in subsection B3 of this section:"
Section 2. That Section 11.60.095 ofthe Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,entitled
"Downtown Parking Zone" be and is hereby further amended by further amending subsection B2
thereof by deleting therefrom the following provision:
"South Grove Avenue, west side thereof, between East Chicago Street and Fulton
Street, the parking stall directly north of the pedestrian crosswalk from DuPage
Court."
Section 3. That Section 11.60.095 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,entitled
"Downtown Parking Zone"be and is hereby further amended by adding a new subsection B3 thereto,
by renumbering the remaining existing subsections B3 through B7 accordingly, with such new
subsection B3 to read as follows:
"3. In any of the following on-street parking stalls for a period longer than fifteen
(15)minutes:
South Grove Avenue,west side thereof,between East Chicago Street
and Fulton Street, the parking stall directly north of the pedestrian
crosswalk from DuPage Court."
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and publication
in the manner provided by law.
