AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING TITLE 17 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976;
AS AMENDED ENTITLED "DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN. ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 17.04.050 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended;entitled
"Water System" be and is hereby further amended by amending subparagraph B thereof to read as
follows:
"B. General Provisions: The water system capital connection fee is in
addition to meter charges and service lateral fees. The water system capital
connection fee shall be assessed at the time of initial domestic water service
or when an increase in the size of a domestic water service is requested. An
applicant for domestic water service or an increase in the size of domestic
water service must declare the size of the proposed water service. An
additional water system capital connection fee shall be assessed for any
separate or segregated service for fire service in the amount of Thirteen
Hundred Dollars ($1,300).''
• Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance be and are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and
publication in the manner provided by law.
