AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Tall Oaks Subdivision-Unit 4-101 Russell Road)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain territory has been filed
with the City Clerk requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS,said petition includes therein a statement under oath by all the owners of record
that no electors reside on the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS,legal notices of the intent of the City of Elgin to annex said territory have been
forwarded to all public bodies required to receive said notice in the manner provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory and lands described as follows be and are annexed to and
made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged
and extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin said territory:
Part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13,Township 41 North,Range 7,East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Plato Township, Kane County, Illinois, described as
follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section:
Thence South along the East line of said Northeast Quarter, 550.35 feet to a point
which is 773.00 feet North of the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said
Northeast Quarter for the point of beginning:thence South along the East line of said
Northeast Quarter 270.00 feet; thence South 89 17'32" West, 852.98 feet along the
South line to a point which is 533.00 feet Easterly of (measured along the last
described line extended)the center line of Russell Road(previously known as Plato-
Udina Highway);thence North 00 45'26"West,parallel with said center line,270.09
feet to a line 270.00 feet normally distant from the South line as previously
described;thence North 89 17'32"East,parallel with said South line, 847.15 feet to
the point of beginning; (containing 5,269 acres more or less).
Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map of said
territories shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois.

in the manner provided by law.
