ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE USE OF CERTAIN PARK SHELTER FACILITIES
WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that it is necessary and proper to establish an
amended fee schedule relative to fees and charges for the use of certain park shelter facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the following fees and charges be and the same are hereby established for
certain park shelter facilities effective January 1, 2008:
PARK SHELTER RENTAL: Daily 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Lords Park: Shelter#1/zoo-East (seats up to 70)
Shelter#2/West(seats up to 70)
Trout Park: Shelter#1/Route 25-East(seats approx. 100)
Shelter#2/ball field-West(seats approx. 150-200)
few Wing Park: Shelter#1/playground (seats up to 70)
Shelter#2/golf course (seats up to 70)
Resident/Additional Hour
6 Hour Rental:
1-50 people $65.00/10.00
51-100 people $70.00/10.00
Over 100 people $75.00/10.00
Nonresident/Additional Hour
6 Hour Rental:
1-50 people $70.00/10.00
51-100 people $75.00/10.00
Over 100 people $80.00/10.00
School/Additional Hour
6 Hour Rental:
1-50 people $60.00/10.00
51-100 people $65.00/10.00
Over 100 people $70.00/10.00
Electricity available in all shelters except Lords Park.

BANDSHELL: Resident Non-Resident School Lighting
4-hr Rental $55 $60 $50 $35/hr.
Each additional hour is $10.00 per hour.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts or ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after January 1,
2008.
