AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 3.70 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976,
AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "ELGIN HERITAGE COMMISSION"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
Section 1. That Section 3.70.055, subparagraph B, of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as
amended, entitled "Design Review Subcommittee, Composition," be and is hereby further
amended to read as follows:
B. Composition: The Design Review Subcommittee shall consist of four (4) mem-
bers from the Heritage Commission and one representative from each of the City's
historic districts. Members of the Subcommittee who are members of the Heritage
Commission shall be elected by the entire Heritage Commission. Members of the
Subcommittee who are historic district representatives shall be appointed by the
City Council. In those instances where there is no qualified nominee, as deter-
mined in the sole discretion of the City Council, from a particular historic district
for which a vacancy on the Design Review Subcommittee exists, the City Council
may appoint a representative from another historic district in the City to fill such
vacancy.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and publi-
cation in the manner provided by law.
