S3-04 Ordinance No. S3-04 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN (Pulte Edgewater Development—2700 Bowes Road) WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain territory has been filed with the City Clerk requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and WHEREAS,said petition includes therein a statement under oath by all the owners of record that no electors reside on the subject territory; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and is not within the corporate limits of any municipality; and WHEREAS, legal notices of the intent of the City of Elgin to annex said territory have been forwarded to all public bodies required to receive said notice in the manner provided by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: �,,, Section 1. That the territory and lands described as follows be and are annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged and extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin said territory: THE WEST HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN (EXCEPT THE EAST 66 FEET, AS MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE EAST LINE THEREOF AND EXCEPT THE WEST 84 FEET OF THE EAST 150 FEET,AS MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE EAST LINE THEREOF,OF THE SOUTH 100 FEET,AS MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE SOUTH LINE THEREOF, IN ELGIN TOWNSHIP, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. TOGETHER WITH THAT PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF BOWES ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE WEST HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,LYING WEST OF THE EAST 1699.17 FEET(AS MEASURED ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER). TOGETHER WITH THAT PART OF THE WEST HALF OF WATER ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE EAST HALF OF SECTION 30,TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH,RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,ADJACENT TO THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PROPERTY AND AS SHOWN HEREON. �►'� Section 2.
