AN ORDINANCE
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. G71-06, AMENDING CHAPTER 2.08
OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED,
ENTITLED "CITY COUNCIL"
WHEREAS,on September 27,2006,the City Council adopted Ordinance No.G71-06,which
provided for certain amendments to Sections 2.08.070 and 2.08.080 of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976, as amended, relating to the agenda and order of business and rules of procedure for city
council meetings; and
WHEREAS,upon further consideration of this matter the city council has determined that it
is necessary and desirable to revert to the agenda and order of business and rules of procedure for
city council meetings which existed prior to the adoption of the amendments provided for in
Ordinance No. G71-06.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. G71-06 adopted by the city council on September 27,2006,
be and is hereby repealed.

Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage in the
manner provided by law.
