AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 3.52 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED,
ENTITLED "FIREMEN'S PENSION BOARD"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS,
Section 1. That Chapter 3.52 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, entitled
"Firemen's Pension Board," be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
3.52.010: CREATED; COMPOSITION:
There shall be a board of trustees of the Firefighters' Pension Fund as provided in
Article 4 of the Illinois Pension Code, as amended (40 ILCS 5/4-101, et seq., as
amended). The membership of the board, their terms and manner of selection shall be at
the time and in the manner provided by Article 4 of the Illinois Pension Code, as
amended.
3.52.020: DUTIES:
The board of trustees of the Firefighters' Pension Fund shall have the duties as provided
by Article 4 of the Illinois Pension Code, as amended, including, but not limited to,
having control of the management of all funds belonging to or designated by law as part
of the Firefighters' Pension Fund and of the administration of such funds, as provided by
Article 4 of the Illinois Pension Code, as amended.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and
publication in the manner provided by law.
