AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CERTAIN PARKING RESTRICTIONS;WITHIN THE`1TY rO ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL,OF THE CITY OF Pl GIN,II LINUIS
Section 1. That Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code;1976,as apende&- d•
"Stopping, Standing and Parking," be and is hereby amended by amending subparagraph A-1 f
Section 11.60.130,entitled,"Stopping,Standing or Parking Prohibited on Private Property,"thread
as follows:
"No commercial vehicle,trailer or truck tractor with a°gross-vehicle-Weight
or registered weight of eight thousand (8,000) pounds-or-mo :shall.bir
permitted to be parked on any public street or any municipally owned
parking lot for a longer period than two (2)hours."
Section 2. That Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code; 1976,-ts-iainended,entitl d
"Stopping, Standing and Parking" be and is hereby further amended by adding to the list of streets
where parking is prohibited under Section 11.60.0500 the following:
Hartwell Avenue - East of the intersection of Ford Court
Street - between Washburn and Oak Street between' .hours of
8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on school'•days.
Section 3. That Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amendeOpand is
hereby further amended by amending Section 11.60.081 entitled"Fifteen MintiteParking Zones"to
add the following:
West side of South Spring Street - one parking space 15 feet from DuPage Court.
Section 4. That Chapter 11.60 of the Eigin,Municipal CC*1076 'asai#endeel;-be` nd is
hereby further amended by amending Section 11.60.084.5 entitled'''FOur Hot ' arl g;Zbnes"to add
the following:
South Grove Avenue, east side thereof, from apoint 03-feet south Of the intersection-with
S. Grove Avenue.
Prairie Street,both sides thereof, from a point 30 feet west of the intersection with S. Grove
Avenue for a distance of 161 feet.
Prairie Street,north side thereof,from a point 145 feet east f the intersection witliS .Grove
Avenue for a distance of 180 feet.
�► Section 5. That Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended,be and is
hereby further amended by deleting from Section 11.60.84.5 entitled"Four Hour Parking Zones"the
following:
Municipal Lot L bounded by Riverside Drive, Prairie Street and South Grove Avenue.
Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 7. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its passage in
the manner provided by law.
