I further certify that on July 28, 2004, the Corporate Authorities of such
municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. G68-04 entitled An Ordinance Amending
Certain Parking Restrictions Within the City of Elgin, which provided by its terms that it should
be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G68-04, including the Ordinance and a
cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal
building, commencing on August 6, 2004, and continuing for at least ten days thereafter. Copies
esk of such Ordinance were also available for public inspection upon request in the office of the
municipal clerk.

AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CERTAIN PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Title 11,Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,be
and is hereby further amended by deleting from the list of streets where parking is prohibited under
Section 11.60.050P the following:
Civic Center Parking Deck, located at the southwest corner of Douglas
Avenue and Symphony Way, excluding the 50 stalls in the basement level,between
the hours of 4:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.
Symphony Way. Symphony Way, south side thereof,between Brook Street
and Dundee Avenue.
Symphony Way. Symphony Way, south side thereof, from 130 feet east of
the intersection with North Grove Avenue.
Symphony Way. Symphony Way, north side thereof, from 100 feet east of
the intersection with North Grove Avenue.
Section 2. That Title 11,Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,be
and is hereby further amended by adding to the list of streets where parking is prohibited under
Section 11.60.050P the following:
Civic Center Parking Deck, located at the southwest corner of Douglas
Avenue and Symphony Way,between the hours of 4:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.
Symphony Way. Symphony Way, south side thereof, from 130 feet east of
the intersection with North Grove Avenue to Dundee Avenue.
Symphony Way. Symphony Way, north side thereof, from North Grove
Avenue to Dundee Avenue.
Park Street. Park Street, north side thereof, from College Street to Dundee
Avenue.
Section 3. That Title 11,Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,be
and is hereby further amended by deleting from the list of two hour parking zones under Section
11.60.084 the following:

Civic Center parking deck, located at the southwest corner of Douglas
Avenue and Symphony Way,between the hours of eight o'clock(8:00)A.M.and five
o'clock (5:00) P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding the approximately one
hundred twenty (120) stalls located on the top level and fifty (50) stalls in the
basement level.
Section 4. That Title 11,Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,be
and is hereby further amended by adding to the list of three hour parking zones under Section
11.60.084.4 the following:
Civic Center parking deck, located at the southwest corner of Douglas
Avenue and Symphony Way,between the hours of eight o'clock(8:00)A.M.and five
o'clock (5:00) P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding the approximately one
hundred twenty (120) stalls located on the top level for staff permit parking and
eleven (11) stalls on the second floor reserved for Sherman Health.
Section 5. That Title 11,Chapter 11.60 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,as amended,be
and is hereby further amended by deleting from the list of tow away zones under Section 11.60.208
the following:
9. Civic Center Parking Deck: Located at the southwest corner of Douglas
Avenue and Symphony Way, fifty(50) stalls in the basement level.
Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 7. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its passage in
the manner provided by law. ,
