AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G97-03 ESTABLISHING A PAY PLAN FOR
CERTAIN APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. G97-03 is hereby amended by deleting from
Range 21 Benefit Group A the position of Deputy Fire Chief- Administration, by deleting from
Range 20 Benefit Group A the position of Deputy Fire Chief(Shift), by deleting from Range 15
Benefit Group Cl the position of Fire Training/Safety Officer and by deleting from Range 13 Benefit
Group Cl the position of Fire Prevention/Education Specialist.
Section 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. G97-03 be and is hereby further amended by
adding to Range 21 Benefit Group A the position of Assistant Fire Chief and by adding to Range 20
Benefit Group A the position of Battalion Fire Chief.
Section 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. G97-03 be and is hereby further amended by
deleting from Range 19 Benefit Group A the position of Fire Marshall and by adding to Range 18
Benefit Group A the position of Fire Marshall.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage in the
manner provided by law.
