I, Dolonna Mecum, certify that I am the duly appointed and acting
municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane Counties, Illinois.
I further certify that on April 2, 2003, the Corporate Authorities of such
municipality passed and approved Ordinances T2-03 through T13-03, which provided
by their terms they should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinances No. T2-03 through T13-03, including
the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance
was posted in the municipal building, commencing on April 14, 2003, and continuing for
at least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinances were also available for public
inspection upon request in the office of the municipal clerk.

Ordinance No . T2-03
AN ORDINANCE
ABATING THE ANNUAL TAX FOR 2002 FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION
CORPORATE PURPOSE BONDS, SERIES 1995
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin will have sufficient funds on hand
to pay the tax levied by Ordinance S5-95 , An Ordinance Providing
for the Issuance of $16, 455 , 000 General Obligation Corporate
Purpose Bonds, Series 1995 , of the City of Elgin, Kane and Cook
Counties, Illinois, and Providing for the Levy and Collection of a
Direct Annual Tax for the Payment of the Principal of and Interest
on said Bonds; and
WHEREAS, the levy of the tax for the year 2002 provided in the
ordinance is unnecessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That the County Clerks of Kane and Cook Counties,
are hereby authorized and directed to abate the tax of $733, 590 for
the year 2002 as provided and levied in the ordinance providing for
the issuance of $16, 455, 000 General Obligation Corporate Purpose
rft. Bonds, Series 1995 , passed April 26, 1995 , a copy of which was
filed with each of said county clerks .
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to
file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Clerks of
Kane and Cook Counties, Illinois, prior to April 15, 2003 .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
