AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Providence Subdivision - 3201 Water Road)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of
certain territory has been filed with the City Clerk requesting
annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under oath
by all the owners of record that no electors reside on the subject
territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS, legal notice of the intent of the City of Elgin to
annex said territory have been forwarded to all public bodies
required to receive said notice in the manner provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
eft Section 1 . That the territory and lands described as follows
be and are annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the
boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged and
extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of
Elgin said territory:
That part of the East Half of Section 19 and that
part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20 in
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows :
Commencing at the Northwest Corner of Lot 78 in
Williamsburg Green Unit No. 3 , being a subdivision of
part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17 and part of
the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, in Township 41
North, Range 8 East, of the Third Principal Meridian,
according to the plat thereof recorded March 19, 1990 as
Document 90K13882, in Kane County, Illinois; thence South
44 degrees 04 minutes 45 seconds West along the west line
of Williamsburg Green Unit No. 3 , a distance of 1062 . 22
feet to the South line of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 17; thence South 88 degrees 47 minutes 06 seconds
West along said South line, 529 . 31 feet to the Northeast
Corner of Section 19 for the point of beginning; thence

to the northwesterly line of Williamsburg Green Unit

right-of-way line of Water Road (the following 2 courses
are along said northerly right-of-way line) ; thence North

822 . 60 feet to the East line of property per Document
90K01922 ; thence South 41 degrees 11 minutes 57 seconds
West along said East line, 33 . 19 feet to the centerline
of Water Road (the following 4 courses are along said
centerline) ; thence North 54 degrees 58 minutes 56
seconds west, 272 . 37 feet; thence North 58 degrees 00
minutes 28 seconds West, 415 . 26 feet ; thence North 60

to the west line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 19;

the Northeast Quarter of Section 19; thence North 00
degrees 07 minutes 40 seconds West along said West line,

seconds West, 779 .20 feet; thence North 35 degrees 46
minutes 26 seconds East, 679 .25 feet to the South line of
Section 18; thence South 89 degrees 47 minutes 09 seconds
East along said South line, 1521 . 01 feet to the point of
beginning, in Kane County, Illinois .
and also:
That part of Water Road adjacent and contiguous with
the above described parcel not previously annexed to the
City of Elgin.
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance together
with an accurate map of said territories shall be filed with the
Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois .
t" Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately after its passage in the manne pr.•ided by law.
