AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Providence Subdivision - 3201 Water Road)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of
certain territory has been filed with the City Clerk requesting
annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under oath
by all the owners of record that no electors reside on the subject
territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS, legal notice of the intent of the City of Elgin to
annex said territory have been forwarded to all public bodies
required to receive said notice in the manner provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
e Section 1 . That the territory and lands described as follows
be and are annexed to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the
boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are hereby enlarged and
extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of
Elgin said territory:
That part of Sections 17 and 18 in Township 41
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows :
Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Lot 78 in
Williamsburg Green Unit No. 3 , being a subdivision of
part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 17 and the
Northwest Quarter of Section 20, in Township 41 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according
to the plat thereof recorded March 19, 1990 as Document
90K13882 , in Kane County, Illinois; thence South 44
degrees 04 minutes 45 seconds West (bearings assumed for
description purposes only) along the westerly line of
Williamsburg Green Unit No. 3 , a distance of 635 . 76 feet
to a line that is 300 . 00 feet northerly and parallel with
the South line of Section 17; thence South 88 degrees 47
minutes 06 seconds West along said parallel line, 828 . 67
feet; thence North 89 degrees 47 minutes 09 seconds West
along a line 300 . 00 feet northerly and parallel with the
South line of Section 18 , a distance of 1302 . 80 feet ;
thence North 35 degrees 46 minutes 26 seconds East,
290 . 36 feet; thence North 49 degrees 07 minutes 15
seconds West, 677 .41 feet; thence South 40 degrees 32
minutes 50 seconds West, 888 . 94 feet to the said parallel
line; thence North 89 degrees 47 minutes 09 seconds West
along said parallel line, 1186 . 98 feet to the centerline
of Nesler Road; thence North 40 degrees 34 minutes 47
seconds East along said centerline, 1696 . 86 feet; thence
northeasterly along said centerline, 33 . 91 feet tangent
to the last described course along a curve to the left
having a radius of 4680 . 66 feet, the chord of said curve
bearing North 40 degrees 22 minutes 20 seconds East;
thence South 69 degrees 05 minutes 58 seconds East,
1551 .43 feet to West line of property per Document
1015195; thence North 20 degrees 54 minutes 29 seconds
East along said West line, 2619 . 36 feet to the southerly
right-of-way line of Illinois State Route 20, said line
being 40 . 00 feet southerly and parallel with the
centerline of Illinois State Route 20 as per Document
95K039586 as measured at right angles thereto; thence
southeasterly along said southerly right-of-way line,
173 . 25 feet along a curve to the left having a radius of
2905 . 00 feet, the chord of said curve bearing South 70
degrees 54 minutes 23 seconds East; thence South 72
rdegrees 36 minutes 54 seconds East along said southerly
( right-of-way line tangent to the last described course
1, 983 . 21 feet; thence South 25 degrees 53 minutes 39
seconds East along the southerly right-of-way line of
Illinois Route 20 as dedicated per Document 920696, a
distance of 289 .46 feet (the following 4 courses are
along said southerly right-of-way line) ; thence South 71
degrees 39 minutes 02 seconds East, 100 . 35 feet; thence
North 70 degrees 53 minutes 11 seconds East, 299 . 87 feet;
thence southeasterly, 109 . 64 feet along a curve to the
right having a radius of 22844 .30 feet, the chord of said
curve bearing South 72 degrees 21 minutes 02 seconds
East; thence South 51 degrees 45 minutes 52 seconds East,
220 .21 feet to the northerly extension of the westerly
line of Williamsburg Green Unit No. 1, being a
subdivision of part of Section 17, in Township 41 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according
to the plat thereof recorded December 20, 1978 as
Document 1488119 in Kane County, Illinois; thence South
43 degrees 53 minutes 14 seconds West along said
extension line and the westerly line of said Williamsburg
Green Unit No. 1 and Williamsburg Green Unit No. 2 ,
according to the plat thereof recorded October 4, 1985 as
Document 1741269, a distance of 2405 . 84 feet to the point
of beginning (excepting therefrom a 66 . 00 foot wide strip
of land as described in deed recorded February 19, 1966
as Document 1063814) , in Kane County, Illinois .
and also:
That part of Nesler Road and Illinois Route 20
adjacent and contiguous with the above described parcel
not previously annexed to the City of Elgin.
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance together
with an accurate map of said territories shall be filed with the
Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately after its passage in the mannerpovi by law.
