municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane Counties, Illinois.
I further certify that on September 26, 2001, the Corporate Authorities of
such municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. G69-01, which provided by its
terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G69-01, including the Ordinance and
a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted in the
municipal building commencing on September 28, 2001, and continuing for at least ten
days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public inspection
risk upon request in the office of the municipal clerk.

AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 9 . 34 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS
AMENDED, ENTITLED "SETBACK ZONES FOR DEEP WATER SUPPLY WELLS"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Chapter 9 . 34 of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976, as amended, entitled "Setback Zones for Deep Water Supply
Wells" be and is hereby further amended by amending the definition
of the term "MINIMUM SETBACK ZONE" under Section 9 . 34 . 020 entitled
"Definitions" to read as follows :
"MINIMUM SETBACK ZONE : The area around a community water
supply well designated herein to be a distance of two
hundred feet (200 ' ) from the wellheads of City wells 1A,
2A, 3A, 4A and 5A located near the Airlite Street
facility and two hundred feet (200 ' ) from the wellheads
of City wells 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 and 6 located near the Slade
Avenue facility. "
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are hereby
repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication in the manner
provided by law.
