S6-00 Ordinance No. S6-00 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET (Capital Street) WHEREAS, the public interest will be served by vacating a portion of a public street in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, said property is not necessary to serve the public . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS : Section 1 . That a portion of a public street in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois, legally described as follows : That part of Capital Street in Westfield Business Park, being a subdivision of part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 42 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows : Beginning at the Southeast Corner of said Capital Street, thence North 88 degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds West, along the South line of said Capital Street, a distance of 33 . 00 feet ; thence North 01 degree 12 minutes 15 seconds East, parallel to the East line of said Capital Street, a distance of 302 . 00 feet; thence northeasterly along a curve to the right having a radius of 35 . 00 feet; tangent to the last described course, an arc distance of 54 . 98 feet to the North line, extended westerly of Lot 1 in said Westfield Business Park; thence South 88 degrees 47 minutes 45 seconds East, along said North line extended westerly, a distance of 33 . 00 feet to the point of curve on the North line of said Lot 1; thence southwesterly, along a curve to the left, having a radius of 35 . 00 feet, a chord bearing of South 46 degrees 12 minutes 15 seconds West, an arc distance of 54 . 98 feet; thence South 01 degree 12 minutes 15 seconds West, along the East line of said Capital Street, a distance of 302 . 00 feet to the point of beginning.
