0.11'^ AN ORDINANCE
RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY AT 728 , 756 and 760 WALNUT AVENUE
WHEREAS, written application has been made to reclassify
certain property located at 728 , 756 and 760 Walnut Avenue
from NB Neighborhood Business District to RB Residence
Business District ; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Development Commission has
conducted a public hearing after due notice and submitted its
written findings and recommendations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the
recommendations of the Planning and Development Commission and
concurs in such recommendations .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Chapter 19 . 07, Section 19 . 07 . 600
entitled "Zoning District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinafter laid out in the
' Zoning District Map ' , as amended, be and are hereby
e'' altered by excluding from the NB Neighborhood
Business District and including in the RB Residence
Business District, the following described property:
PARCEL 1
LOT 8 AND THAT PART OF LOT 7 DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS : BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID
LOT 7; THENCE NORTH ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID
LOT, 111 . 40 FEET ; THENCE WEST ALONG A LINE
PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT, 3 . 50
FEET; THENCE SOUTH ALONG A LINE PARALLEL WITH THE
EAST LINE OF SAID LOT, 111 .40 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE
THEREOF; THENCE EAST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID
LOT, 3 . 50 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, ALL IN
BLOCK 17 OF J.C. AND W.H. KIMBALL ' S ADDITION TO
ELGIN, IN THE CITY OF ELGIN, KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS .

THE EAST HALF OF LOT 7 IN BLOCK 17 OF J. C. AND
W.H. KIMBALL ' S ADDITION TO ELGIN (EXCEPT THAT PART
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS : BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF SAID LOT 7; THENCE NORTH ALONG THE EAST
LINE OF SAID LOT 111 . 40 FEET; THENCE WEST ALONG A

Section 2 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
