AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE PAY PLAN FOR CERTAIN APPOINTED OFFICERS
AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Ordinance No. G2-99 entitled "An
Ordinance Establishing a Pay Plan for Certain Appointed
Officers and Employees of the City of Elgin" , be and is hereby
further amended by amending Section 1 thereof as follows :
A. The reference to "Planning Director" under
the listing of Department Heads Subgroup 2 Benefit
Group A is amended to read "Planning and
Neighborhood Services Director" .
B. The reference to "Director of Business
Services and Properties" under the listing of
Department Heads Subgroup 3 Benefit Group A is
amended to read "Economic Development and Business
Services Director" .
C. Range 50 Benefit Group B is amended by
"k adding thereto the position of "Development Services
Manager" .
D. The reference to "New Construction
Division Manager" at Range 46 Benefit Group B is
amended to read "Building and Development Officer" .
E. Range 35 Benefit Group C is amended by
adding thereto the position of "Geographic
Information System (GIS) Planner" .
F. The reference to "Historic Preservation
Specialist" at Range 36 Benefit Group C is amended
to read "Urban Design and Preservation Specialist" .
G. Range 31 Benefit Group C is amended by
adding thereto the position of "Neighborhood
Planner/Outreach Coordinator" .
H. Range 31 Benefit Group C is amended by
adding thereto the position of "Project Coordinator" .
Section 2 . That Section 3 . 04 . 040 of the Elgin Municipal
Code, 1976, as amended, entitled "Exemptions from Classified
Service" be and is hereby further amended by adding to the listing of exempt positions the positions of "Development
Services Manager, Building and Development Officer, Geographic
Information System (GIS) Planner, Urban Design and
Preservation Specialist, Neighborhood Planner/Outreach
Coordinator and Project Coordinator" and by deleting from such
listing of exempt positions the positions of "New Construction
Division Manager and Historic Preservation Specialist" .
Section 3 . That all ordinances or part of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after passage in the manner provided by
law.
