AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 2 . 24 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976,
AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "CEMETERY DEPARTMENT--CEMETERIES"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin has
determined that the ordinance providing for the prohibition
against all motorcycles within the city cemetery is no longer
necessary or desirable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Elgin Municipal Code Section 2 . 24 . 420 is
hereby amended by deleting Paragraph J thereof in its entirety
and relettering the remaining paragraphs K, L and M
accordingly.
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
