AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE
ACCUMULATION OF VACATION LEAVE
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to amend the
ordinance providing for the accumulation of vacation leave.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS, that Ordinance No. S6-88 entitled "An
Ordinance Providing for the Accumulation of Vacation Leave"
passed on June 8, 1988 be and is hereby amended by amending
Section 3 to read as follows :
"Section 3 . Any officer or employee who
commences employment on or after July 1, 1988 may
accrue vacation leave for a period not to exceed the
equivalent of one year of vacation accrual into a
subsequent year. "
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
'""` effect immediately after its passage in the manner provided by
law.
