AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 2 . 08 ENTITLED "CITY COUNCIL" OF THE
ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976 , AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Chapter 2 . 08 entitled "City Council" of
the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby
further amended by amending Section 2 . 08 . 040 to read as
follows :
2 . 08 . 040 REGULAR MEETINGS.
Regular meetings of the city council shall be
held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month
at seven thirty p.m. at the Municipal Building,
unless a different date, time or place shall have
been specified by council action. The council shall
remain in session until adjournment by a majority
vote of the members present.
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after January 1, 1998 .
