AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G56-96 GRANTING A
CONDITIONAL USE FOR A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
FOR A COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
AT 221-229 NATIONAL STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 2 of Ordinance No. G56-96
entitled "An Ordinance Granting a Conditional Use for a Planned
Development for a Commercial/Residential Development at 221-229
National Street" passed October 23, 1996, be and is hereby
amended by amending Section 2 to read as follows :
"Section 2 . That the conditional use granted
herein shall expire if not established by April 23,
1998 . That the conditional use as granted herein
shall expire if the fire damaged structure on the
site is not secured from unauthorized access on or
before November 20, 1997 in accordance with the
requirements of Section 16 . 12 . 020 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976 , as amended. "
rb. Section 2 . That, except as amended herein, Ordinance No.
G56-96 remains in full force and effect .
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided by
law.
