AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 2 . 24 . 200 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976,
AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "LOT OR GRAVE SPACE--PURCHASE PRICE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 2 . 24 . 200 of the Elgin Municipal
Code, 1976 , as amended, entitled "Lot or Grave Space--Purchase
Price" be and is hereby further amended by adding subparag
raph F to read as follows :
"F. The city council, by resolution, may
provide that the city enter into contracts for the
sale of tracts of lots or graves for a price per
grave space other than as provided in this chapter
where such agreements provide for the sale of not
less than 350 grave spaces to recognized nonprofit
religious or fraternal organizations , in accordance
with terms and conditions established by the
council . "
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
