I, Dolonna Mecum, certify that I am the duly appointed and acting
municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane Counties, Illinois.
I further certify that on September 24, 1997, the Corporate Authorities of
such municipality passed and approved Ordinance No. G45-97, entitled An
Ordinance, Amending the Elgin Municipal Code by Adding to the List of Stop
Intersections, which provided by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet
form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G45-97, including the Ordinance
and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted
in the municipal building, commencing on, September 25, 1997, and continuing for at
least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public
inspection upon request in the office of the municipal clerk.

Ordinance No. G45-97
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO THE LIST OF
STOP INTERSECTIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 32 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976 , as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by adding to the list of stop intersections under
Section 11 . 32 . 030 the following:
Cookane Avenue. All vehicles being operated on
Cookane Avenue must stop at Dixon Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
N. Crystal Street. All vehicles being operated
on N. Crystal Street must stop at W. Chicago Street
before crossing or entering the same.
Elgin Avenue. All vehicles being operated on
Elgin Avenue must stop at Cookane Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
Elgin Avenue. All vehicles being operated on
Elgin Avenue must stop at Lavoie Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
Illinois Avenue. All vehicles being operated on
Illinois Avenue must stop at Dixon Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
Illinois Avenue. All vehicles being operated on
Illinois Avenue must stop at Elgin Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
Illinois Avenue. All vehicles being operated on
Illinois Avenue must stop at Hammond Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
Joan Court. All vehicles being operated on Joan
Court must stop at Cookane Avenue before crossing or
entering the same.
Mill Street. All vehicles being operated on Mill
Street must stop at N. Commonwealth Avenue before
crossing or entering the same.
Mill Street. All vehicles being operated on Mill
Street must stop at Hamilton Avenue before crossing
or entering the same.

Mill Street. All vehicles being operated on Mill
Street must stop at Vincent Place before crossing or
entering the same .
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage in the manner provided by
law.
