AN ORDINANCE
CLASSIFYING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED TERRITORY
( 2557 Higgins Road)
WHEREAS, the territory herein described has been annexed
to the City of Elgin; and
WHEREAS, written application has been made to classify
said territory in the ORI Office, Research and Industrial
District and AB Area Business District; and
WHEREAS, after due notice in the manner provided by law
the Planning and Development Commission conducted a public
hearing concerning said application and has submitted its
written findings and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois,
has reviewed the findings and recommendations of the Planning
and Development Commission and concurs in its recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS :
section 1 . That Chapter 19 . 07 , Section 19 . 07 . 600
entitled "Zoning District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976 , as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by
adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the
' Zoning District Map' , as amended, be and are hereby
altered by including in the ORI Office, Research and
Industrial District, the following described
property:
That part of the West Half of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 19 , Township 42 North, Range 8
East of the Third Principal Meridian, Kane County,
Illinois, described as follows :
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said
Southeast Quarter; thence Northerly, 1,457 . 84 feet
on an assumed bearing of North 0 degrees 30 minutes
13 seconds West along the West line of said
Southeast Quarter to the South line of the North
1, 184 . 83 feet of said Southeast Quarter, as measured
along the East line of the West Half of said
Southeast Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 30
minutes 31 seconds East, 66 . 00 feet, parallel with
eft the North line of said Southeast Quarter; thence
South 0 degrees 30 minutes 13 seconds East, 1 ,457 . 94
feet, parallel with the West line of said Southeast
