and acting municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane
Counties, Illinois .
I further certify that on November 8, 1996, the
Corporate Authorities of such municipality passed and approved
Ordinance No. G64-96, entitled An Ordinance Amending Chapter
11 . 50 Entitled "Special Stops Required--Miscellaneous Rules of
the Road" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as Amended (Truck
Restrictions) which provided by its terms that it should be
published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G64-96 , including
the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a
copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building,
commencing on November 8, 1996, and continuing for at least ten
days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available
for public inspection upon request in the office of the
municipal clerk.

Ordinance No. G64-96
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 11 .40 ENTITLED "SPECIAL STOPS
REQUIRED--MISCELLANEOUS RULES OF THE ROAD" OF THE
ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Chapter 11 . 40 entitled "Special Stops
Required--Miscellaneous Rules of the Road" of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by adding the following to Section 11 .40 . 080 :
D. It is unlawful for any person to operate
any vehicle having a gross weight of over 8,000
pounds including vehicle and maximum load or having
a Class D, F, H, J, K, L, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, X or
Z vehicle license upon or over the following streets :
Wing Street from Crystal Street to Weston
Avenue.
Section 2 . That Chapter 11 .40 entitled "Special Stops
Required--Miscellaneous Rules of the Road" of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by deleting from Subsection C of Section 11 . 40 . 080 the
following:
Wing Street from Weston Avenue to Crystal
Street.
Section 3 . That Chapter 11 .40 entitled "Special Stops
Required--Miscellaneous Rules of the Road" of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by amending Subsection E of Section 11 . 40 . 080 to read
as follows :
E. The director of public works shall cause
signs indicating the foregoing weight limit or
license registration classification restriction to
be erected and maintained to and upon the approaches
to the forgoing streets .
Section 4 . That Subsections D and E of Section 11 .40 . 080
entitled Vehicle Load Limit be and are hereby redesignated as
Subsections E and F respectively.
Section 5 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
f hereby repealed.
Section 6 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten days after its passage and publication in the
manner provided by law.
