AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE WATER RATES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Section 14 .04 . 180A2 of Chapter 14 . 04 of
the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby
further amended to read as follows :
2 . The following rates shall apply for each
1,000 gallons or fraction thereof of water supplied:
1997 1998 1999 2000
$2 . 44 $2 . 66 $2 . 90 $3 . 16
or for each hundred cubic feet or fraction
thereof of water supplied:
1997 1998 1999 2000
$1 . 83 $1 . 99 $2 . 17 $2 . 36
Section 2 . That all ordinances or part of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after January 1, 1997 .
