Historic Architectural Rehabilitation Grant Program which
provided by its terms that it should be published in pamphlet
form.

The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G32-96 , including
the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a
copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building,
commencing on July 26 , 1996, and continuing for at least ten
days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available
for public inspection upon request in the office of the
municipal clerk.

Ordinance No. G32-96
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL REHABILITATION
GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Chapter 20 . 15 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,
as amended, provides for the City' s Historic/Architectural
Rehabilitation Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, Section 20 . 15 . 070 provides for a program target
area of the original Elgin Historic District as designated in
the 1981 resolution adopted by the City Council on March 11,
1981; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
recently created Spring/Douglas Historic District and any
future historic districts and Elgin area landmarks be eligible
for funding under the historic/architectural rehabilitation
grant program and should therefore be included within the
program target area description as provided for under
Section 20 . 15 . 070 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:

Section 1 . That Section 20 . 15 . 070 of the Elgin Municipal
Code, 1976 , as amended, entitled "Program Target Area
Description" be and is hereby further amended to read as
follows :
"20 . 15 . 070 PROGRAM TARGET AREA DESCRIPTION.
Grants made pursuant to this chapter shall be
limited to properties located within a historic
district designated by ordinance of the City Council
or properties designated as a landmark by ordinance
of the City Council . "
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten days after its passage and publication in the
manner provided by law.
