AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CERTAIN PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE
CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS :
Section 1 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 60 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by adding to the list of streets where parking is
prohibited under Section 11 . 60 . 050P the following:
S. State Street. S. State Street, west side
thereof, from Washburn Street to the Illinois
Route 20 bypass .
Section 2 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 60 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by deleting from the list of streets where parking is
prohibited under Section 11 . 60 . 050P the following:
South State Street. South State Street, east
side thereof, from ninety feet south of the
intersection with West Chicago Street to one hundred
eighty feet south of the intersection with West
Chicago Street, a distance of ninety feet.
Section 3 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 60 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by adding to the list of one-hour parking zones under
Section 11 . 60 . 083 the following:
South State Street, east side thereof,
southerly from the intersection with West Chicago
Street, the southerly three spaces .
Section 4 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 60 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976 , as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by adding to the list of streets where parking is
prohibited under Section 11 . 60 . 050P the following:
Arlington Avenue. Arlington Avenue, east side
thereof, from St. Charles Street to Sherman Avenue,
between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. , on days
bearing an even monthly calendar date.
Arlington Avenue. Arlington Avenue, west side
thereof, from St. Charles Street to Sherman Avenue,
''' between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. , on days
bearing an odd monthly calendar date.
Bent Street. Bent Street, north side thereof,
from St. Charles Street to S. Liberty Street,
between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. , on days
bearing an odd monthly calendar date.
Bent Street. Bent Street, south side thereof,
from St. Charles Street to S. Liberty Street,
between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. , on days
bearing an even monthly calendar date.
Regent Street. Regent Street, north side
thereof, from St. Charles Street to S . Liberty
Street, between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. ,
on days bearing an odd monthly calendar date.
Regent Street. Regent Street, south side
thereof, from St. Charles Street to S. Liberty
Street, between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. ,
on days bearing an event monthly calendar date.
St. Charles Street. St. Charles Street, east
side thereof, from May Street to Villa Street,
between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. , on days
bearing an even calendar date.
St. Charles Street. St. Charles Street, west
side thereof, from May Street to Villa Street,
between the hours of midnight and 6 : 00 a.m. , on days
bearing an odd calendar date.
Section 5 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 6 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten days after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
