AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G18-96 GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE FOR
A CAR WASH AT 1555 TODD FARM DRIVE
WHEREAS, on April 24 , 1996 the City Council of the City
of Elgin passed Ordinance No. G18-96 entitled "An Ordinance
Granting a Conditional Use for a Car Wash at 1555 Todd Farm
Drive" ; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. G18-96 contained an erroneous
legal description.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Ordinance G18-96 entitled "An Ordinance
Granting a Conditional Use for a Car Wash at 1555 Todd Farm
Drive" be and is hereby amended by amending the legal
description for the conditional use to read as follows :
That part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3,
Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third
., Principal Meridian, described as follows : Commencing
at the intersection of the center line of North
McLean Boulevard with the North right of way line of
the Soo Line Railroad ( formerly Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company) ; thence North
00 degree 59 minutes 57 seconds West, along said
center line of North McLean Boulevard, a distance of
1307 .23 feet; thence South 89 degrees 54 minutes 51
seconds West, parallel with said North right of way
line of railroad, a distance of 185 . 00 feet for the
point of beginning; thence continuing South 89
degrees 54 minutes 51 seconds West, a distance of
145 . 44 feet; thence North 00 degrees 59 minutes 57
seconds West, parallel with said center line of
North McLean Boulevard, a distance of 300 . 00 feet;
thence North 89 degrees 54 minutes 51 seconds East,
parallel with said North right of way line of
railroad, a distance of 145 . 44 feet; thence South 00
degree 59 minutes 57 seconds East, parallel with
said center line of North McLean Boulevard, a
distance of 300 . 00 feet to the point of beginning.
Being situated in the City of Elgin, Kane County,
Illinois and containing 43, 624 . 92 square feet, more
or less .
Also known as the Westerly 145 . 44 feet, as
measured along the North and South lines thereof, of
Lot 1 of Commerce Center Subdivision, being a
subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 3, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, being situated in the City
of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois .
Section 2 . That except as amended herein Ordinance No.
G18-96 remains in full force and effect.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage in the manner
provided by law.
