Ordinance No. G73-95, entitled An Ordinance Amending the Speed
Limit on Certain Streets in the City of Elgin, which provided by
its terms that it should be published in pamphlet form.

the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a
copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building,
commencing on September 28, 1995, and continuing for at least
ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also
available for public inspection upon request in the office of
the municipal clerk.

AMENDING THE SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN STREETS
IN THE CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Section 11 .20 . 030(B) of Chapter 11 . 20 of
the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby
further amended by deleting the following:
Brook Street between Kimball Street and North
Street.
Center Street between Kimball Street and Dexter
Avenue.
East Chicago Street between State Street and
Geneva Street.
Dexter Avenue between Dexter Court and Center
Street.
fek Division Street between Douglas Avenue and
Geneva Street.
Douglas Avenue between Kimball Street and East
Chicago Street.
DuPage Street between Villa Street and Spring
Street.
Fulton Street between Villa Street and Spring
Street.
North Grove Avenue between Kimball Street and
East Chicago Street.
South Grove Avenue between Fulton Street and
Prairie Street.
East Highland Avenue between North State Street
and Geneva Street.
North Street between North Grove Avenue and
Dundee Avenue.
Prairie Street between Villa Street and
" Riverside Drive.
North Spring Street between Kimball Street and
East Chicago Street.
South Spring Street between East Chicago Street
and Grove Avenue.
Water Street between Brook Street and Grove
Avenue.
Section 2 . That Section 11 . 20 . 030(C) of Chapter 11 .20 of
the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby

Section 3 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 4 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect ten days after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
