and acting municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane
Counties, Illinois .
I further certify that on August 9 , 1995, the
Corporate Authorities of such municipality passed and approved
Ordinance No. G54-95, entitled An Ordinance Amending Chapter
10 .28 Entitled "Amplifiers" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976,
as Amended which provided by its terms that it should be
published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G54-95, including
the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a
copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building,
commencing on August 10, 1995, and continuing for at least ten
days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available
for public inspection upon request in the office of the
municipal clerk.

AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 10 . 28 ENTITLED "AMPLIFIERS" OF THE
ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976 , AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Section 10 .28 . 040A of Chapter 10 .28
entitled "Amplifiers" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976 , as
amended, be and is hereby further amended to read as follows:
A. Where a permit has been issued as provided
in this chapter it is unlawful to use, operate or
employ any such device except for the period of time
between the hours of 8 : 00 a.m. and 10 : 00 p.m. ,
prevailing time; or 8 :00 a.m. and 8: 30 p.m. for
block parties held in a residential neighborhood; or
within a radius of two blocks of any hospital, or
within a radius of two blocks from any church where
a service is being held.
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
•► hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage in the manner
provided by law.
