I , Dolonna Mecum, certify that I am the duly appointed
and acting municipal clerk of the City of Elgin, Cook and Kane
Counties, Illinois .
I further certify that on January 11, 1995, the
Corporate Authorities of such municipality passed and approved
Ordinance No. G1-95, entitled An Ordinance Amending Chapter
16. 04 Entitled "Building Code" fo the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976, as Amended which provided by its terms that it should be
published in pamphlet form.
The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. G1-95, including
the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof, was prepared, and a
copy of such Ordinance was posted in the municipal building,
commencing on January 13, 1995, and continuing for at least ten
days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available
for public inspection upon request in the office of the
municipal clerk.

AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 16 . 04 ENTITLED "BUILDING CODE" OF THE
ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Chapter 16 .04 entitled "Building Code"
of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is
hereby further amended by amending Section 16 . 04 . 080(A) to
read as follows :
"A. Section 112 . 0 Permits is amended as
follows :
A true copy of the building permit shall be
kept on the site of operations, open to public
inspection during the entire time of prosecution of
the work and until the completion of the same.
Additionally, a placard issued by the code
official shall be posted at the site of operations,
which placard shall be posted at an exterior
location no more than 100 feet from the lot line of
the subject property nearest to any street or other
k s thoroughfare. Such placard shall contain the
following:
a. subject property address;
b. permit number;
c. permit types;
d. date of permit issue;
e. name of contractor and permit holder;
f. signature of the code official . "
Section 2 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and are
hereby repealed.
Section 3 . That this ordinance is in full force and
effect ten days after its passage anal publication in the
manner provided by law.
