AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CERTAIN TRAFFIC AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS WITHIN THE
CITY OF ELGIN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 60 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by amending Section 11 . 60 . 089 to read as follows :
11 . 60 . 089 Monthly permit parking zones .
A. The following streets and areas shall be
all-day monthly permit parking zones :
Riverside Drive, southbound 66 spaces
( facing southwest) from Chicago Street to
Prairie Street.
B. Monthly permit parking zones are subject
to all day parking, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. , Monday through
Saturday.
C. The finance director may lease these 66
parking spaces along Riverside Drive at a monthly
rate of thirty dollars . The lessee shall display
the parking permit in a manner as designated by the
finance director so it is visible to the parking
attendant. Failure to comply shall result in the
revocation of the parking permit and forfeiture of
the paid parking fee.
Section 2 . That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 60 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by adding to the list of three-hour parking zones
under Section 11 . 60 . 084 .4 the following:
Riverside Drive, southbound 24 spaces ( facing
southeast) immediately south of E. Chicago Street.
Section 3. That Title 11, Chapter 11 . 68 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby further
amended by amending Section 11 . 68 . 150(F) to read as follows :
F. The finance director may lease each
parking space in the civic center parking zone for a
designated period. The prepaid rate shall be thirty
dollars per month. The lessee shall only park in
the assigned rows, the parking permit shall be
displayed in a manner designated by the finance
director so it is visible to the parking attendant,
