DINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(South Side of Summit Street, West of Commonwealth Edison

WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the oii'e °s.'QI, ,7 . _cY --
certain territory has been filed with t fei` ettli' -dierk
requesting annexation of said territory to the City of Elgin,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under
oath by all the owners of record that no electors reside on
the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
Elgin and is not within the corporate limits of and
municipality; and

WHEREAS, legal notice of the intent of the City of Elginc,
to annex said territory have been forwarded to all publics^
bodies required to receive said notice in the manner provided 9
by law.
cow NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the following described territory be and
is hereby annexed to the City of Elgin:
The East 70 . 00 feet, as measured at right
angles, of Lot 6 of Benhardt' s Subdivision, being a
subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 8, Township 41 North, Range 9 East of the
Third Principal Meridian. Being situated in Hanover
Township, Cook County, Illinois and containing 0 .59
acre more or less .
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate map of the territory annexed shall
be filed in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County
within 90 days of the passage of this ordinance.
