AN ORDINANCE
VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET
(Lovell Road) DEFT-09 n-�'
WHEREAS, the public interest will be `servew;by; cgt :,a
portion of a public street in the City of Elgin, Cook County,
Illinois, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, said property is not necessary to serve the
public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That a portion of a public street in the City
of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, legally described as follows :
Of that part of Section 20, Township 41 North,
Range 9 EaSt of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Commencing at a point in the
centerline of U.S. Route 20 where the East line of
the West half of the Southwest quarter of said
Section 20 crosses said centerline; thence
southeasterly, along said centerline, 52 .40 feet to
the easterly line of a tract of land conveyed to
Public Service Company of Northern Illinois (now
Commonwealth Edison Company) by Document No.
9542306 ; thence northerly, along said easterly line,
114 .22 feet to an angle point in said easterly line;
thence northeasterly, along said easterly line,
! 76 . 81 feet to the northerly line of a tract of land

17993033, aforementioned; thence northwesterly,
along said northerly line, 86 . 69 feet to a point on
a curved line; thence northwesterly, along a curved
line, being the arc of a circle convex northeasterly
and having a radius of 261 .00 feet, an arc distance

be and the same is hereby vacated.
Section 2 . That a certified copy of this ordinance
together with a plat of said vacated right of way be filed
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois .
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided
by law.
