AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF LARKIN AVENUE,
HIGHLAND AVENUE, CENTER STREET, VILLA STREET AND
SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD TO THE MUNICIPAL STREET SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Elgin and the State of Illinois
entered into an agreement for transfer of jurisdiction of
Larkin Avenue, Highland Avenue, Center Street, Villa Street
and South Frontage Road to the municipal street system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1 . That the improvement of Larkin Avenue from
west edge of pavement of Airlite Street to Highland Avenue;
Highland Avenue from Larkin Avenue to Illinois Route 31 (State
Street) ; Center Street from Chicago Street to Villa Street;
Villa Street from Center Street to east edge of pavement of
Peck Place (Ludlow Place) ; and South Frontage Road from west
edge of pavement of Airlite Street to west corporate limits;
all within the city limits be added to the municipal street
system.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is directed to forward a
certified copy of this ordinance to the State of Illinois
through its District Engineer' s Office at 201 West Center
Court, Schaumburg, Illinois .
