G19-91 r - Ordinance No. G19-91 AN ORDINANCE CLASSIFYING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED TERRITORY (Cobbler's Crossing, Unit 14) WHEREAS, the territory herein described has been annexed to the City of Elgin; and WHEREAS, written application has been made to classify said territory in the R-2 single family residence district; and WHEREAS, after due notice in the manner provided by law the Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing concerning said application and has submitted its written findings and recommendation; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois, has reviewed the findings and recommendations of the Land Use Committee and concurs in its recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That Chapter 19 . 08 . 020, entitled "Zoning District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph: "The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the ' Zoning District Map' , as amended, be and are hereby altered by including in the R-2 single family residence district, the following described property: That part of the East 1/2 of fractional Section 7 , Township 41 North, Range 9, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Section 7; thence North 00 degrees 46 minutes 09 seconds East (deed North 00 degrees 46 minutes East) along the East line of said Section 7, 1322 . 79 feet (deed 1322 .40 feet) ; thence South 86 degrees 50 minutes 36 seconds West, 191 .22 feet (deed South 86 degrees 57 minutes West, 530 .50 feet) to a point for a place of beginning; thence continuing South 86 degrees 50 minutes 36 seconds West along the westerly extension of said last described line, 942 .50 feet to the most easterly Southeast corner of Lot 2 in Cobbler's Crossing Unit 4 , being a subdivision according to the plat thereof recorded July 19, 1989 as Document #'1.1" No. 89328814; thence North 02 degrees 15 minutes 39 seconds East (deed North 02 degrees 15 minutes East) along the most easterly East line of said Cobbler' s Crossing Unit 4 , along the East line of Cobbler' s Crossing Unit 3, being a subdivision according to the plat thereof recorded July 19, 1989 as Document No. 89328812 and along the most southerly East line of out lot "A" in Cobbler' s Crossing Unit 1, being a subdivision according to the plat thereof recorded December 20, 1988 as Document No. 88586739 , 1115 .20 feet to a corner of said out lot "A" ; thence North 86 degrees 21 minutes 20 seconds East (deed North 86 degrees 57 minutes East) along the most easterly South line of said out lot "A" , 574 .29 feet to the most easterly Southeast corner of said out lot "A" ; thence continuing North 86 degrees 21 minutes 20 seconds East along the easterly extension of said last described line, 339 . 68 feet to an intersection with a line drawn parallel with the East line of said Section 7 from said point of beginning; thence South 00 degrees 46 minutes 09 seconds West along said last described parallel line, 1120 . 63 feet to the place of beginning, in Cook County, Illinois . " Section 2 .
