AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN
(Pine Meadows)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain territory has
been filed with the City Clerk requesting annexation of said territory to the City of
Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under oath by all the owners
of record that no electors reside on the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and is not within the
corporate limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS, legal notices of the intent of the City of Elgin to annex said territory
have been forwarded to all public bodies required to receive said notice in the manner
provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That the territories and lands described as follows be and are annexed
to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are
hereby enlarged and extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin
said territory:
That part of the Southwest Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of �►
Section 27, Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal 't1
Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of
the North line of the South Half of said Northwest Quarter with the center
line of McLean Boulevard; thence Southerly along said center line 552.6 aT
feet; thence Westerly along a line that forms an angle of 85 degrees 55
minutes to the right with the prolongation of the last described course, 50.0
feet for the point`of beginning; thence Westerly continuing along the last
described course, 265.01 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line that forms
an angle of 56 degrees 30 minutes to the left with the prolongation of the
last described course, 310.0 feet; thence Southwesterly along a line that
forms an angle of 4 degrees 09 minutes to the right with the prolongation
of the last described course, 353.0 feet; thence Southerly along a line that
forms an angle of 37 degrees 58 minutes to the left with the prolongation
of the last described course 409.0 feet to the center line of Bowes Road;
thence Easterly along said center line 576.40 feet to the Westerly right of
way line of McLean Boulevard; thence Northerly along said right of way
line, 946.28 feet to the point of beginning; and also that part of Bowes
Road lying Southerly of and continguous to the South line of the above
described property, in the Township of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois.
Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map
of said territories shall be filed with the Recorder of Deeds, Kane County, Illinois.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Elgin, Kane and
Cook Counties , Illinois , is contemplating annexation of
the following described real estate located in Elgin Township,
Kane County, Illinois :

Such real estate is part of the South Elgin Fire District
and Gail Borden Public LibraryDistrict , and this Notice
is served upon you pursuant to the provisions of Section
7-1-1 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes , as
amended.
This matter will be considered by the City Council of the
City of Elgin at its Council meeting in the City Hall, 150
Dexter Court , Elgin, Illinois , on Wednesday, April 11, 1990 ,
at 8 :00 p.m.
