S4-90 Ordinance No. S4-90 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF EASEMENTS WHEREAS, the public interest will be served by vacating portions of easements in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, said property is not necessary to serve the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section I. That portions of easements in the City of Elgin, Cook County, Illinois, legally described as follows: That part of Lot 16 in Cobbler's Crossing Unit 3, being a subdivision in the South 1/2 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 9, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded July 19, 1989 as Document No. 89328812, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Lot 16; thence North 04 degrees 59 minutes 38 seconds East along the easterly line of said Lot 16, 28.33 feet; thence North 85 degrees 00 minutes 22 seconds West, 5.00 feet to the Southeast corner of the non-easement area in said Lot 16; thence North 04 degrees 59 minutes 38 seconds East along the easterly line of said non-easement area, 61.00 feet to the Northeast corner of said non-easement area, said point being the place of beginning; thence North 61 degrees 34 minutes 39 seconds West along the northeasterly line of said non-easement area, 15.09 feet; thence South 85 degrees 00 minutes 22 seconds East, 13.85 feet; thence South 04 degrees 59 minutes 38 seconds West, 6.00 feet to the place of beginning, in Cook County, Illinois. That part of Lot 39 in Cobbler's Crossing Unit 3, being a subdivision in the South 1/2 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 9, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded July 19, 1989 as Document No. 89328812, described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Lot 39; thence North 83 degrees 48 minutes 30 seconds East along the northerly line of said Lot 39, 22.56 feet; thence South 06 degrees I I minutes 30 seconds East at right angles to said last described line, 11.82 feet to the Northwest corner of the non-easement area in said Lot 39; thence South 81 degrees 39 minutes 01 seconds East along the northerly line of said non-easement area, 118.00 feet to an angle point in said line; thence South 58 degrees 13 minutes 18 seconds East along the northeasterly line of said non-easement area, 17.61 feet to a point for a place of beginning; thence South 81 degrees 39 minutes 01 seconds East, 13.85 feet; thence South 08 degrees 20 minutes 59 seconds West, 6.00 feet to the Northeast corner of said non-easement area; thence North 58 degrees 13 minutes 18 seconds West along the northeasterly line of said non-easement area, 15.09 feet to the place of beginning, in Cook County, Illinois. That part of Lot 40 in Cobbler's Crossing Unit 3, being a subdivision in the South 1/2 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded July 19, 1989 as Document No. 89328812, described as follows: Commencing at the angle point in the easterly line of said Lot 40; thence South 49 degrees 23 minutes 14 seconds West along the southeasterly line of said Lot 40, 5.91 feet; thence North 40 degrees 36 minutes 46 seconds West at right angles to said last described line, 30.00 feet to the most easterly corner of the non-easement area in said Lot 40; thence South 49 degrees 23 minutes 14 seconds West along the southeasterly line of said non-easement area, 118.00 feet to an angle point in said line; thence South 72 degrees 48 minutes 57 seconds West along the southeasterly line of said non-easement area, 17.61 feet to a point of a place of beginning; thence South 49 degrees 23 minutes 14 seconds West, 13.85 feet; thence North 40 degrees 36 minutes 46 seconds West, 6.00 feet to the most southerly corner of said non-easement area; thence North 72 degrees 48 minutes 57 seconds East along the southeasterly line of said non-easement area, 15.09 feet to the place of beginning, in Cook County, Illinois. be and the same are hereby vacated. Section 2. That a certified copy of this ordinance together with a plat of said vacated easements be filed with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3.
