AN ORDINANCE
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ELGIN -
(Bartels Farm)
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of record of certain territory has
been filed with the City Clerk requesting annexation of said territory to the City of
Elgin, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, said petition includes therein a statement under oath by all the owners
of record that no electors reside on the subject territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Elgin and is not within the
corporate limits of any municipality; and
- WHEREAS, legal notices of the intent of the City of Elgin to annex said territory
have been forwarded to all public bodies required to receive said notice in the manner
provided by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That the territories and lands described as follows be and are annexed N
to and made a part of the City of Elgin and the boundaries of the City of Elgin be and are
r hereby enlarged and extended to include in the corporate boundaries of the City of Elgin
said territory:
Of that part of the Southeast Quarter and the East Half of the cT

TO: Board of Trustees, Rutland & Dundee Fire District
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Elgin, Kane and Cook Counties, Illinois, is
contemplating annexation of the following described real estate located in Dundee
Township:
(See attached legal description)
Such real estate is part of the Rutland & Dundee Fire District and this Notice is served
upon you pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-I-I of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised
Statutes.
A public hearing regarding this proposed annexation agreement will be held before the
City Council of the City of Elgin in the City Hall, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, Illinois, on
Wednesday, September 12, 1990 at 8:00 P.M.
