G56-90 Ordinance No. G56-90 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES AND CHARGES AT THE MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSES OF THE CITY OF ELGIN FOR THE 1991 GOLF SEASON AND ESTABLISHING CERTAIN POLICIES RELATIVE TO THE OPERATION OF SUCH COURSES WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary and proper to establish a new fee schedule and other policies relative to the operation of the municipal golf courses of the City of Elgin for the 1991 golf season. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1 . That the following fees and charges be, and the same are hereby established for the two municipal golf courses for the 1991 season, to-wit: SEASON PASSES SPARTAN MEADOWS AND WING PARK Resident Non-Resident Adult (age 16 and over) $ 430 . 00 $ 470 .00 Senior (62 years and over) $ 215 . 00 * $ 240 .00 * Youth (high school student $ 175 .00 * $ 190 .00 * or age 15 and under) Couples Pass $ 695 . 00 $ 770 . 00 WING PARK ONLY Adult (age 16 and over) $ 225 . 00 $ 250. 00 Senior (62 years and over) $ 130 .00 * $ 145 .00 * Youth (high school student $ 95 .00 * $ 100 .00 * or age 15 and under) Couples Pass $ 360 . 00 $ 400.00 * (Course Fee) The course fee shall be paid each time a senior or youth pass is used on Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday, regardless of the number of holes played and shall be $2 . 00. After Labor Day no course fee required for youth and senior pass play on Saturday, Sunday or holidays . r That part of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 28 , Township 41 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follow: Commencing on the North line (assumed North 90 degrees East) of said East Half of the Southwest Quarter, 930 feet East of the Northwest corner thereof; thence South 0 degrees 34 minutes 14 seconds West parallel with the West line of said East Half of the Southwest Quarter, 550 feet for the place of beginning; thence South 8 degrees 45 minutes East, a distance of 625.0 feet; thence South 59 degrees 30 minutes West, a distance of 320 feet; thence South a distance of 310 feet; thence South 54 degrees 30 minutes West, a distance of 320 feet; thence North 90 degrees West, a distance of 176 .73 feet to the West line of said East Half of Southwest Quarter of Section 28 , thence North 0 degrees 34 minutes 14 seconds East, along said West line a distance of 1236.41 feet; thence North 90 degrees East a distance of 930.0 feet to the place of beginning, in Kane County, Illinois. " Section 3 . YOUTH PASSES Youth passes will be valid week days prior to twilight time except Tuesdays and Thursdays twilight time at Wing Park, and valid Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, after 11 : 00 a.m. Youth passes will be valid all day weekdays during the regular school year. SENIOR PASSES Senior passes good at all times . DISABLED PERSONS DISCOUNT Senior citizen rates shall be available to adults 62 years and over not otherwise qualifying as senior citizens upon application which includes the following information: 1 . Name and age of applicant. 2 . Notarized affidavit that applicant is unable to work, full or part time, due to physical disability. 3 . Written statement from licensed physician stating that the applicant is physically disabled and unable to work full or part time. TWILIGHT TIME Spartan and Wing: 3 : 00 p.m. RESERVATION CHARGES Leagues will be charged a $25 . 00 fee for their block of times. Groups will be charged $50 .00 for their blocks of time. GROUP DISCOUNTS For groups of 16 or more not using season tickets, a discount of $1 . 00 from the applicable 18 hole rate may be granted at the discretion of the Golf Professional . For groups of 50 or more not using season tickets, the Golf Professional, in his discretion, is authorized to grant an additional discount not to exeed $ .50 . Section 2 . That self-propelled golf carts shall be permitted on the Spartan Course and Wing Course. Section 3 . That the city shall stock and sell a line of golf supplies and sell food and non-alcoholic beverages, except as otherwise provided by ordinance, on both courses; that golf leagues shall be promoted and golf tournaments encouraged at both courses . Section 4 . That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. em- Section 5 .
