AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 14.04 OF THE ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That Chapter 14.04, Section 14.04.010 of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976, as amended, be and is hereby further amended by adding the following:
D. In the event that the Public Works Director determines that due
to unusual conditions or circumstances the city is unable to install water
services or is otherwise unable to make installation within fourteen days
after request, the Director of Public Works may authorize the private
installation of water service.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provi-
sions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication in the manner provided by law.

RESOLUTION ADOPTED ADOPTING A WATER SERVICE
INSTALLATION POLICY
Councilman Walters made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman
eift Popple to adopt the aforementioned Resolution. Yeas: Councilmen
Fox, Gilliam, Moylan, Popple, Shales , Walters and Mayor
VanDeVoorde. Nays: None.
