AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, SECTION 14.04.1508
TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASED DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, Section 14.04.150B, as amended, be
and is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"B. No person shall use any wrench or device for opening or shutting
fire hydrants except such as has been furnished by the water department or
approved by the director. A deposit of twenty-five dollars shall be paid for
every wrench furnished by the water department."
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provi-
sions of this ordinance be and are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication in the manner provided by law.

ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 .04 OF THE
ELGIN MUNICIPAL CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED
Councilman Walters made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman
Popple to pass the aforementioned Ordinance. Yeas: Councilmen
Fox, Gilliam, Moylan, Popple, Shales , Walters and Mayor
VanDeVoorde. Nays: None.
