AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF AN ACTING CITY MANAGER
IN THE ABSENCE OF THE CITY MANAGER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section I. That section 2.12.130 of Chapter 2.12 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Elgin , 1976, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"2.12.130 Designation of Acting City Manager
In the event that the city manager shall be absent from the
city or temporarily incapacitated from performing the duties of his
Office, such appointed officer of the city as the city manager shall
designate shall serve as acting city manager until such time as the
city manager shall resume the duties of his office."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage in the manner provided by law.
