Section I. That the total authorized -s;•te trength of the Elgin Police. Department
shall hereafter be one hundred three (103) members, of one member shallbe chief,
no more than two (2) members shall hold the rank of deputy 'C-hjfali no mortlicla,sevan-(7)
members $14011 hold the rank of lieutenant, no more than tweckfft (12) members shall hc.,1d
the rank of1;:ergeant and the balance of said members shall bei.of patrolman rank.'
