G20-81 Ordinance No. G20-81 rft AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR OFF-STREET PARKING AT 596-598 NORTH McLEAN BOULEVARD WHEREAS, a written application has been filed requesting a special use for off-street parking on property located at 596-598 North McLean Boulevard, which is located in the 0-Limited Office District; and WHEREAS, after due notice, as required by law, the Elgin Land Use Committee conducted a public hearing on the proposed special use and has submitted its findings and recommended that the special use requested be granted upon certain conditions; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin has reviewed the findings and recommendations of the Land Use Committee and concurs in them. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That it hereby adopts the findings of fact made by the Land Use Committee in its consideration of an application requesting a special use for off-street parking at 596-598 North McLean Boulevard, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. That a special use be and is hereby y granted for the con- struction, operation and maintenance of an off-street parking facility on the property commonly known as 596-598 North McLean Boulevard, Elgin, Illinois, and legally described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Block 1 of Illinois Park Second Addi- tion to Elgin, (except that part of Lot 1 described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence South- easterly along the Northerly line of said lot, being also the Southerly line of Wing Street 139.45 feet to the Northeast corner of said lot; thence Southerly along the East line of said lot, 25.0 feet; thence Northwesterly 141.03 feet to a point in the West line of said lot, that is 20 feet South of the point of beginning; thence Northerly along the West line of said lot, 20.0 feet to the point of beginning) in the City of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. subject to the following conditions: 1. Use of the parking facility herein permitted is to be limited to employees and customers of the Elgin State Bank and employees of Gromers Supermarket and appropriate signs indicating the restricted use of the parking lot shall be erected and maintained; 2. Access shall be limited to the easterly property line; eft- 3. The parking facility shall be constructed and maintained in substantial conformity with the site plan prepared by Marchris Engineering, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference as Exhibit B, except that access to the alley located west of the parking facility shall be deleted; 4. Compliance with all other applicable codes and ordinances. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided by law. s/ Richard L.
