G1-81 Ordinance No. G1 -81
AN ORDINANCE
ADDING TO THE LIST OF PERMITTED USES IN THE B-4
GENERAL SERVICE DISTRICT TO ALLOW WELDING SHOPS
WHEREAS, written application has been made to amend the provisions
of the zoning ordinance so as to permit a welding shop as an additional
permitted use in the B-4 General Service District; and
WHEREAS, the Elgin Planning Committee held a public hearing concern-
ing the proposed amendment after due notice in the manner provided by
law; and
WHEREAS, the Elgin Planning Committee has submitted its written
findings and recommendation that the requested amendment be granted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin, Illinois, concurs
in the findings and recommendations of the planning committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Section 19.34.020 of Chapter 19.34 of the Elgin
Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be amended by adding the following:
"22. Welding Shops."
e"' Section 2. That Section 19.34.020 of the Elgin Municipal Code,
1976, as amended, is hereby further amended by redesignating existing
number 22 "Accessory Uses to the Above Permitted Uses" as number 23.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage in the manner provided by law.
