G62-80 Ordinance No. G62-80 AN ORDINANCE rm. AMENDING THE ELGIN ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO ACCESSORY BUILDING HEIGHT AND YARD REQUIREMENTS WHEREAS, written application has been made to amend the text of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance relating to accessory building height and yard requirements; and WHEREAS, after due notice the Planning Committee conducted a public hearing and has recommended that the application for an amendment to the text of the Elgin Zoning Ordinance relating to accessory building height and yard requirements; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elgin concurs in the recom- mendations of the Planning Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Section 19.06.070D of Chapter 19.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby amended to read as follows: "D. No accessory building shall exceed twelve feet in height unless otherwise permitted as accessory to business and manufacturing uses, or to authorized special uses." Section 2. That Section 19.06.100 of Chapter 19.06 of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and is hereby amended by adding the following: "E. In all residence districts, lots of record existing prior to March 9, 1962 shall be subject to the yard require- ments contained in Ordinance G-685 passed on March 13, 1950, namely, front and rear yards shall not be less than twenty feet and side yards shall not be less than six feet." Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage in the manner provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by authority of the City Council. s/ Richard L.
