AN ORDINANCE
CLASSIFYING CERTAIN NEWLY ANNEXED TERRITORY
(Located at Tollgate Road Adjacent to Elgin Oaks Industrial Park)
WHEREAS, the territory herein described has been annexed to the City
of Elgin pursuant to the terms of an annexation agreement between the
City of Elgin and the owners of record of said territory; and
WHEREAS, the annexation agreement concerning said territory provides
that the City of Elgin shall proceed to classify the territory in accordance
with its terms; and
WHEREAS, all required public hearings have been conducted and all
notices required to be given by law have been given.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELGIN, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter 19.08, Section 19.08.020, entitled "Zoning
District Map" of the Elgin Municipal Code, 1976, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
"The boundaries hereinbefore laid out in the 'Zoning
District Map' , as amended, be and are hereby altered by
including in M-1, Limited Manufacturing, the following

That part of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter and
part of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 33,
Township 42 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of said
Northeast Quarter thence North along the West line of said North-
east Quarter 830 feet; thence Northeasterly along a line forming
an angle of 74 degrees 50 minutes to the right with the prolonga-
tion of the last described course 714.75 feet thence Southerly
along a line forming an angle of 101 degrees 53 minutes to the
right with the prolongation of the last described course 435.65 feet;
thence Northeasterly along a line forming an angle of 98 degrees
14 minutes to the left with the prolongation of the last described
course 609.5 feet to the East line of the West Half of said North-
east Quarter; thence South along said East line and along the East
line of the West Half of said Southeast Quarter 1866.9 feet to a
point 1155 feet South of the North line of said Southeast Quarter;
thence West parallel with the North line of said Southeast Quarter
737.01 feet; thence Northwesterly 604.98 feet to a point on the West
line of said Southeast Quarter 996.04 feet South of the point of
beginning thence North along said West line 996.04 feet to the point
of beginning (except that part of the West Half of the Southeast
Quarter of said Section 33 described as follows: Commencing at the
center of said Section 33 thence South along the West line of said
Southeast Quarter 130 feet for the point of beginning; thence con-
tinuing South along said West line 866.04 feet; thence Southeasterly
along a line that forms an angle of 105 degrees 14 minutes from North
to Southeast with the last described course 336.84 feet; thence North
parallel with the West line of said Southeast Quarter 954.54 feet to a
line perpendicular to the West line of said Southeast Quarter from the
point of beginning; thence West 325 feet to the point of begin-
ning; and also except that part lying North of the South line of
Frontenac Woods) in the Township of Dundee, Kane County, Illinois."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
days after its passage and approval and shall be published in pamphlet form
by authority of the City Council.
